HH Fitness Teams Up With The Red Wood Baptist Church To Provide Coats and Blankets for the Homeless.

(San Marcos, Texas, November 29, 2010) – Local San Marcos, TX fitness boot camp is teaming up with the Red Wood Baptist Church to provide coats and blankets for the homeless. In return for a coat or blanket brought in by participants, HH Fitness will provide a free workout, Saturday, December 11th at 8:30 am at Diaz Martial Arts. Red Wood Baptist Church is collecting clean, gently used coats and jackets, scarves, gloves, hats, boots, blankets and/or sleeping bags for adults and children.

HH Fitness Founder, Heath Herrera, M.Ed., CSCS, is a firm believer in giving back to the local community. Herrera claims “While some of us can enjoy the pleasures of keeping warm as the temperatures cool, we must remember there are many in our community that need as much assistance as we can provide to stay warm this winter.”  We will be trading a free workout for coat or blanket brought in by participants wanting a great workout. Herrera goes on further stating “It is an absolute honor to have the resources to be able to give back to such a great cause.”

The Redwood Baptist Church is a Christian-centered resource and outreach organization.  Resources include a food distribution, clothing distribution, health checks, meeting spaces, resource referrals, etc.  Outreach includes Soup Kitchen, Baptist Children’s Detention Center Ministry, Health Fair, Good Neighbors Program, etc.

“Winter Illness and frostbite during especially cold weather take their toll on a population who many times are homeless through no fault of their own and The Red Wood Baptist Church is pleased to partner with HH Fitness to collect coats and blankets for the homeless families of Hays County,” said Irma Palacios.

HH Fitness believes that no one should be left without adequate winter protection. “Take a minute out of your day and find your gently but no longer worn coats and get them to us’” says Heath. “Humbly, we will do everything in our power to make sure to assist as many needy local Hays County residents as possible this winter.”

Their large group workouts feature a music interval training system that burns nine times more fat than ordinary exercise. Herrera states “We help people get fit and burn fat like crazy with the Rapid Fat Loss Boot Camps. The best part about our training system is the host of equipment-free exercises utilized. So even if someone cannot continue with our camps they will be able to keep up with their workouts in the comfort of their own home!”

HH Fitness currently has programs at Diaz Martial Arts and Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, and All Star Elite Cheer in New Braunfels. HH Fitness offers a free 2-week trial to all newcomers.
